Simeon’s Jayshon Jackson jukes a Mount Carmel defender during the Prep Bowl.

Simeon junior Jayshon Jackson has committed to Toledo, he announced via Twitter on Sunday night.

Jackson, a first-team all-Public League selection in 2016, was a key component in Simeon’s run to the city championship this past season. He starred at quarterback in the Prep Bowl, and was named Simeon’s Prep Bowl MVP afterward.

Jackson is expected to play wide receiver in college.

Last night, Jackson told Edgy Tim: “The offense fits me perfectly. I have a strong connection with the coaches. I feel comfortable on the campus.”

Jackson had offers from Toledo, Ball State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Miami (OH), Southern Illinois and Western Michigan at the time of his commitment, according to 247sports.com. He is rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals.
