South Shore defeated Goode STEM Academy 67-58 on Thursday, Feb. 2, in group play of the Blue-South tournament.

The Public League’s 3 stars

1. Jr. G Phillip Morris, South Shore. Morris led the Tars in scoring with 17 points. He provided a scoring jolt off of the bench after his team fell behind 10-0 to start the game..

2. Jr. F Devon Sterling, Goode STEM Academy. The 6-foot-6 forward was active all game long. He finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Ten of Sterling’s rebounds were offensive boards.

t-3. Sr. F Jalen Lewis, South Shore. Lewis was crucial on the interior, especially in the fourth quarter. He scored 12 points, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked two shots.

t-3. Sr. G Deshawn Thomas, South Shore. Thomas made two huge steals in the fourth quarter. He scored 13 points.

t-3. Jr. G Darius Johnson, Goode STEM Academy. Johnson finished with 17 points.
