Jayden Gasby transfers from Urban Prep-Englewood to Curie

Urban Prep-Englewood F Jayden Gasby vs. Longwood

Jayden Gasby, a versatile 6-5 forward, has transferred from Urban Prep-Englewood to Curie. He will be a senior next season.

Gasby regularly stood out for Urban Prep-Englewood during his junior campaign. He hit a game-winner in a key White-South game against Julian. Earlier in the year, Urban Prep-Englewood coach Fred Cleveland called him “the face of the program” after he had 19 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Longwood.

Gasby’s decision to transfer makes him the second high-profile player to transfer to Curie in the last two months.

In March, point guard Marquise Walker transferred from St. Joseph to Curie. He currently has an offer from Illinois.

The addition of Walker and Gasby puts Curie in great position to continue its run of success — even with the graduation of Elijah Joiner, Allante’ Pickens and Terry Smith Jr.
